Becky Fast, LCSW, is the Executive Director of NASW-Kansas and an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a history of working in Nonprofit Organizations, Local and State Government, Team Building, and Public Speaking. Her experience as a local politician and clinical social worker offers unique perspectives in building relationships, understanding different viewpoints, and the collective use of our experiences and skills in working togeth

Throughout, there will be ample opportunities for participant input, and many examples from social work practice will be provided for discussion, as well as plenty of time for sharing your ideas and asking questions.

Becky Fast, LCSW is a the Executive Director of NASW-Kansas and a former member of the NASW National Board of Directors. She graduated with honors with a master’s degree in public administration and social work from the University of Kansas. After graduation, Becky was hired as a public policy analyst at the University of Kansas focusing on services for seniors and persons with disabilities. She has served as the Director of Constituent Services for Congressman Dennis Moore. Becky is a life-long educator starting out her career as an elementary education teacher and now teaching at the graduate level as an adjunct professor at Washburn University. In addition, she is an executive director of a state-wide nonprofit and advocates in the Kansas legislature for improvements in the mental health service delivery system. She has also served on the Mainstream Coalition Board of Directors as well as the Kansas Families for Public Education Board of Directors.
