The Understanding the Impacts of the Experience Mod class is designed to help the agent better understand the intricacies of how the mod affects the policy holder. As a result, the agent will be able to discuss the specific components that impact their mod and how it has a direct impact on their client’s premium. This class will provide a deeper understanding of relationship between the experience mod factor and the anniversary rating date. Agents will be able to relate to the customer how the mod is created and the difference between frequency and severity.
The Workers’ Compensation Classifications course is designed to introduce the agent to the various situations they may encounter with workers’ compensation classifications. Agents will have an enhanced knowledge of the standards and possible exceptions they may encounter with the process to help them better serve their client and know the resources available to assist with the classification process. They will be educated on some of the common misclassification and how they may lead to fraudulent activity. Finally, they will learn the 20 rules the IRS has adopted to determine whether workers are employees.
