Engage Sport North in partnership with the City of Prince George, the Northern Sport Centre and the UNBC Timberwolves are hosting free sport stations for families of Prince George on Monday, February 18th!
Come play, learn and give yourself a chance to win unique prizes by participating in our soccer, wheelchair basketball, basketball, pickleball and free play stations.
The event will start at 9:30am and will end at 12:30pm.
There will be coaches leading the sport stations to learn and work on some skills and fundamental movements of each sport and make it fun for everyone to participate in their station.
There will be a draw at the end of the event for people that participated in the Family Day 2019 event.
Please note that there will be spots available by online registrations and it will be possible to drop-in as well.
This beginner Pickleball session - offered through the Sport Discovery Community Try-It! program and hosted by the West Bowl Community Association - provides an opportunity to try or participate within a new sport. The program session is offered at no cost. Participants do not need to bring equipment, as the instructor will provide the equipment needed. Please wear appropriate athletic clothes.
The session will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
Minimal age to participate is 10 years old to 105 years old.
Pickleball can be adapted for manual or power wheelchair users to participate along with able bodied players. A limited number of sport wheelchairs will also be available at this event for anyone to try.
Pre-registration is required since there is a maximum of 16 participants.
