Immigrants bring the cuisine of their country of origin to wherever they go and that food tells a story about who they are and where they come from. Food traditions are a staple of every culture around the globe; it is a way to connect people across generations and geography. The Reher Center For Immigrant Culture and History is a museum and cultural center that preserves and honors the legacy of Reher’s Bakery and amplifies immigrant stories of the Hudson Valley, past and present. Samosa Shack was created by Mini Dhingra in 2014, when friends and family urged her to bring her delicious food to market. Using Hudson Valley farm fresh seasonal ingredients, Samosa Shack treats can be found at various farmers markets, pop-ups, and at catered events, throughout New York and New Jersey. Samosa Shack makes plant based Indian eats in midtown Kingston, at the Cornell Creative Arts Center.
