In order to register for this course you need to have been a registered Pharmacist for 2 years. We will also need you to give the name of your supervisor who should be a registered HCP/Nurse - please note this should be the Prescribing Lead at your surgery or an appropriate clinician or Practice Nurse at one of your surgeries, ideally someone who will be able to check your competency in practice of administering the vaccination. As part of the training you will be expected to take a short test and a competency document will need to be completed before you commence giving injections.
Meets National Minimum Standards for HCSW immunisation training, which is an expectation for all new immunisers. The link for this is as follows:

Flu vaccinations including intranasal spray, pneumococcal vaccine and shingles vaccine. Includes injection techniques, administration of Vitamin B12 (under legal framework and PGDs). Learners will require supervised practice and assessment of competence.
Cont as above and includes a MANDATORY test, learners and their managers will be informed of results of the test.
