Kateb University, CharityHelp International, Think Renewables Group and Afghan eMarketing Services are hosting a free introductory seminar on September 14th, 2015 about Knowledge Delivery Systems. At this seminar, you will learn how you can have access to large libraries of free education information without the internet and how you can effectively use selected online collaboration software services such as Google Hangout.
There is an explosion of free information, such as Khan Academy, growing on the internet. At the same time, some organizations are making it possible to access this information without needing the internet. This free seminar introduces several of the ways this can be done and how this offline information can be used to complement existing communication technologies. Given below are 6 ways :
a) a Raspberry Pi computer loaded with the RACHEL eLibrary which contains Khan Academy
b) an USB memory stick loaded with the RACHEL eLibrary which contains Khan Academy
c) a relatively new computer loaded with the full Think Renewables Group’s eLibrary (which contains the RACHEL eLIbrary)
d) an obsolete computer re-purposed by installing a Linux based operating system on it with the full Think Renewables’ eLibrary
e) a smartphone loaded the RACHEL eLibrary which contains Khan Academy
f) A full Conferencing eStation developed by Think Renewables Group complete with its eLibrary
Each of the above systems can serve up this educational content via WiFi and/or Ethernet to other computers, tablets or smartphones
Next we will show how these large offline eLibraries can be complemented with the following communication systems and collaboration software:
a) a Conferencing eStation for reliable video and data sharing communications.
b) Collaboration software such as Skype and Google Hangout to support distance coaching as shown in this video: www.charityhelp.org/aea or YouTube Link
