GAIN Description:  The Global Appraisal of Individual Needs Q3 (GAIN-Q3) is a brief assessment used to identify and address a wide range of problems among clinical and general populations age 12 and older. As a clinical tool, the GAIN-Q3 is designed for use by personnel in diverse settings to guide referral, initial treatment planning, and for program evaluation.

Target Audience:  Staff who are new to GAIN-Q3 administration.  This session is intended for clinicians, therapist assistants and other staff who will conduct the GAIN-Q3 with clients. No specific professional credential or previous experience with the GAIN is necessary.

Goals of Training:  Building upon the online GAIN-Q3 training modules, the skills sessions will focus on applying that knowledge to a GAIN interview. The skills session will use round-robin and paired practice to reinforce the GAIN rules of administration. Time will be allowed for questions throughout the session.

Pre-Requisites: Completion of the GAIN-Q3 online training course.
