For teachers and conductors who would like to observe the workshop but who are unable to attend Music Conference Alberta. Note that auditors require an active membership in Choir Alberta.
This workshop is a low stress and inexpensive early-in-the-year choral experience for high school students.
Essential skill development in the areas of musicianship and vocal production will serve as the basis for this workshop. It has been designed to be relevant to choristers with a variety of musical backgrounds, and will be of benefit to members of auditioned and non-auditioned choirs.
The workshop will be divided into 4 segments:

Choir Alberta is the province’s hub for choral music. Through our diverse roster of projects and programs, we provide valuable resources and unique opportunities for choirs, conductors, choristers, and other choral leaders. Our festivals, workshops, provincial honour choirs, choral library, and professional development opportunities play an important role in elevating the standard of choral music making and in building and uniting the province’s choral community. We have an holistic view of choral music and actively support and engage with choirs of all types. We are the only organization that is directly connected to the hundreds of choirs that can be found throughout Alberta; we therefore play an integral role in raising awareness and generating excitement about choral music all across the province.
