Multilingual Learners (MLs) spend a good amount of their school day listening. It is no wonder, then, that their listening comprehension in English is often significantly higher than their speaking in English. Because speaking is so important for engagement, sharing ideas, learning, self-advocacy, the building of relationships, and more, increasing opportunities (and supports) for interaction is crucial! This workshop will focus on strategies for MLs, from newcomers to exited (but still monitored) students. Come ready to interact!
