Experience Level

Intermediate to advanced photographers. You must have an infrared-converted camera and a basic understanding of how to work with your images on your computer using the processing software of your choice.

Activity Level: Mild

Most of our shooting locations will be very close to roadside parking. You must be able to walk with your gear over uneven terrain and loose soil.

 

Required Gear

  • Digital camera converted for infrared capture (I recommend getting the  full-spectrum conversion from Kolari Vision) + applicable filters 
  • Lenses to cover wide-angle to medium telephoto focal lengths (16-120mm range)
  • Laptop computer with image editing software (I use Lightroom Classic + Photoshop)

Optional Gear

  • Solid neutral density filters (15-stop recommended, I use the Kolari ND Pro filters)
  • Polarizing filter
  • Tripod

Instructional Fee

$1299 per photographer (maximum 8 photographers)
Reserve your seat with a $250 deposit before April 1, 2024. Final payment is due May 1, 2024. Deposits are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizer.

Cancellation policy

Deposits are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organizer. Workshop fees are non-refundable within 45 days of the event.

Jason P. Odell is a professional photographer from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jason specializes in wildlife, landscape, and creative travel photography. He has authored numerous photography guides, including guides to the Nikon Z9 camera, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Nik Plug-ins. Jason has been leading photography workshops and instructional photo tours since 2007. Jason's photography has been featured by Nik Software, Tiffen, Studio Photography Magazine, Wildlife Photographic Magazine, Singh- Ray Filters, and Digital Silver Imaging.
