From 2013-2019 bpmNEXT was the most talked-about and most thoroughly enjoyed event in the field of Digital Transformation and Intelligent Automation.  Each year a rarefied group of innovators assembled from 20+ countries worldwide – CEOs, CTOs, and technologists coming not only to learn, but ultimately to define “WHAT’S NEXT!”  It remains an event series without peer in our space, and unlikely any other.   

Over the past decade, bpmNEXT was both a proving ground and launch pad for the innovations which defined Intelligent Automation – from early applications of AI and blockchain, to the mainstreaming of process mining, to the evolution of DMN and Decision Automaton, as well as RPA and Digital Workers.  Year after year, our community set the agenda for years ahead – fostering more M&A activity, joint ventures, startups, innovations, and new relationships than any event in our space.  It is no coincidence that nearly each of the early-stage ideas hatched in those moments are now no longer what’s next but WHAT’S NEW!

In the spirit of bpmNEXT…  for 2024 we are hosting the Intelligent Automation Leadership Summit!

It is a semi-structured program, not free-for-all, but also not placing the burden of formality and prep required for the bpmNEXT demos/presentations.  All participants have been or will be vetted.  There will be no Death-by-PowerPoint nor overt marketing tolerated.  The Summit will instead be the same rigorous contest of ideas which has come to define our community of peers.  The vibe will be collegial – yet predictably with a robust spirit of debate.  No formal preparation is required, beyond organizing ideas and confirming tech requirements.  More than ever the room will be full of ‘doers’ steeped in software innovation.  No trolls allowed.

WHY YOU NEED TO ATTEND…

We are at a very real and meaningful, and genuinely unprecedented moment in the business of technology.  Having lived through the arrival of client/server, Internet architecture, Web 1.0, 2.0, 3.0; mobile computing, cloud computing and servitization – never have we faced the combined factors of disruption and opportunity to the scale we see today.  While there is also a similarly unprecedented level of hype as well, the disruption and market confusion presented by the current trajectory of GenAI and Agentic AI cannot be dismissed.

We need to form collective voice on what is “ethical” in decisions and automation.  We have no naïve pretenses about holding back the tide, but this moment parallels where we were as a community just over a decade ago, on the precipice of seceding Case Management to the burgeoning world of CRM.  The rallying point at the Paris Summit (in which many of us participated) changed the narrative for at least a decade.  Now the imperative and the scale of opportunity are orders of magnitude greater.  We have already proven the power of a collective voice and combined force –yet the Summit’s objective is not to change the world nor deny the inescapable reality in front of us, but to fully exploit the opportunity these changes present.  As well, more pragmatically, to share methods and approaches for leveraging RAG, DAG, NER, NLP, LATS, LLMs
and other AI-laden acronyms shaping the future of Decision Intelligence and Intelligent Automation.
