The KTM East Coast Adventure Rider Rally will take place Friday May 18th, through Sunday May 20th, 2018. Pine Barrens Adventures LLC, the east coasts premier adventure promoter will host the event. The Head Quarters and Center of the action will be The Mountain Lodge, a hotel and convention center, at Snowshoe Mountain Resort. In addition to the great riding, the event will include, excellent meals and available deluxe accommodations. There will also be limited camping and RV parking available at the Resort.
The picturesque Resort is located on the top of Snowshoe mountain, on the western side of the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia. The Alleghenies comprise the rugged western-central portion of the Appalachian Mountains and include epic terrain, old growth National Forests and Wilderness Preserves, that are connected by some of the most amazing pavement, gravel and dirt roads on the East Coast. All meals are included as well as KTM demo rides, vendor displays, seminars and the new Mid Atlantic BDR movie which will be shown after dinner Saturday night. There's lots of interesting things to see and something for everyone. The KTM Adventure Rider Rally is designed for KTM ADVENTURE owners but is open to all brands of street-legal motorcycles.
You can select from a list of self-guided GPS routes that combine off pavement and back country roads of varying distance and difficulty. There will also be scenic, twisty and fun all pavement tours. The GPS self-guided routes will be emailed prior to the event to registered riders and will also be available to download at the Rally by the support staff. A GPS navigation class and discussion will take place Friday Night.
Due to the remoteness of the region, and lack of cell service in many areas, we are recommending that riders travel in teams of 4 or more and have at least one Spot Tracker, Satellite Phone or similar device per team. This is a team event, so if you sign up as a single, we’ll pair you with a team. Gas range must be appx 125 miles or more. Lunch will be provided on the routes at select locations.
Support Stops and vehicles will be ready to assist with any major issues you encounter on the routes. GPS training classes, KTM Maintence seminars and other interesting discussions will be held during the rally.
