Despite the widespread wave of marijuana legalization in the United States, marijuana remains an illegal drug. The federal government has held firm in classifying marijuana or cannabis as a Schedule I drug.
Attorney Vince Camacho, an employment lawyer, cautioned that even in states where recreational marijuana is legal, the supreme courts in those states have ruled in favor of employers who terminated employees who tested positive for marijuana use.
Marijuana in the workplace continues to be the subject of many discussions for both employers and employees. Join us for the first of two labor clinics conducted by Attorney Vince Camacho as he sheds some light on the matter of Marijuana in the Workplace.
