Lackawanna College launched its esports program in 2018 and was the first known esports program of its kind in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Lackawanna College became a member of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), the association of college and university sponsored esports programs, and launched an esports facility available to all students in the program Mon- Sat. 9am - 10pm. The facility offers 25 high-end Alienware gaming PCs available for gaming, homework and other student use.
