The Fall ASQ 509 Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Special Interest Group (SIG) is providing a training on DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control).
Presented by Mr. Robert Napoletano and Kaiser Saifudin
DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) is a strategy of using data to improve processes. Using scientific methods to analyze the data to see where improvements to the process would be most beneficial. For those already having a good understanding of this methodology, working through the roadmap is a good refresher. For those who are not that familiar it is a good way to see how the process works.
For each of the five steps in DMAIC we’ll discuss the goal of each step is, what activities you can include during each step and what tools can be used to accomplish those activities. Some improvements don’t need all this rigor. If you can identify and implement quick changes to your process using Lean tools, then don’t wait – just do it. There must be a return on your investment, so you need to look at what needs to be fixed and determine how much to invest – don’t spend $5 to fix a 5? problem.
The meeting starts at 6:30 pm and will end at 8:30 pm.
Registration closes as September 13 at 12 pm.
