Expert Witness Direct and Cross-Examination Program
The United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, in partnership with the Roger Williams University School of Law and the Rhode Island Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, is proud to announce its comprehensive hands-on expert witness direct and cross-examination program.
This program will provide hands-on training in direct and cross-examination skills and will take place from December 11 to 13, 2024. The course will be an intensive three-day program to be held at the Federal Courthouse in Providence, Rhode Island. The faculty teaching the program will include federal and state judges, Roger Williams Law School faculty, and experienced Rhode Island trial lawyers. This program offers 12 CLE credits, including 1 ethics credit. Registration will close when the program is full, so interested attorneys should apply as soon as possible.
The schedule for the program is as follows:
Wednesday, December 11: 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Lectures and Workshops. Reception to follow.
Thursday, December 12: 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Lectures and Workshops - Lunch will be provided.
Friday, December 13: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lecture and Workshop - Lunch will be provided.
The cost of the program is $475.00 (including course materials). Payment will be made via credit card.
Partial scholarships are available to lawyers of all backgrounds who require financial assistance.
If you would like to apply for scholarship funding, please first contact the FBA at mwaring@cck-law.com with a brief description of the nature of your law practice and a request to be considered for a scholarship. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be provided with a special code which should be used when you register for the program.
