Radiology Conference Manila Philippines Shoulder and Knee MSK MRI Mini Fellowship and Workstation Workshop
As of 22nd May we have a single seat remaining for this workshop.
We will be holding the MRI Knee and Shoulder Workshop in conjunction with CTMRISP in Manila on the 15th and 16th of June 2019.
(Please note the workshop was initially scheduled for 22nd /23rd June but we have had to bring forward the workshop by a week as PCR have scheduled a meeting on the 22nd/23rd and have requested us to change to avoid a clash).
This workshop will concentrate entirely on Knee and Shoulder MRI which are the two most common joints requested in MSK imaging. We will spend a day on each joint and cover the abnormalities that we commonly see in cases that come up for reporting. The miini fellowship is aimed at enabling you to learn, practice and retain knowledge and to go back to work reporting the MRI scans on your list more confidently and accurately.
Mini Fellowship and Workshop: What is it?
We will be running the teaching as a Mini Fellowship with a structured 30 Day Pre Workshop Learning with Dicoms, How to Videos and Posts to get you the basic information before the workshop, then a 2 Day Workstation Workshop to build on the pre workshop course by learning to assess 100's of dicoms followed by a 30 Day Post Workshop review Programme to refresh and help retain what you have learnt. The fellowship is aimed at enabling you to learn, practice and retain knowledge and to go back to work reporting the MRI scans on your list more confidently and accurately. Our workshops have been popular as they provide a hands on learning where you see 100's of dicoms on individual workstations. You will see and diagnose more pathology in a weekend than most people will see in years.
Why are we having workstation based workshops and not endless days of lectures?
When we report at work, we dont have someone showing us just selected relevant images to make a diagnosis, we have a full dicom study to evaluate and report. We need to be able to evaluate all the information to make the diagnosis and very importantly exclude irrelevant information. Our workshops are based on learning by guided viewing and evaluating 100's of dicom scans on individual workstations, just like you do at work. We feel that this is the only way to learn. To LEARN BY DOING
WORKSHOP AGENDA
CPD POINTS will be coordinated by CTMRISP. RANZCR have allocated 40.5 CPD Points which are recognised by most International Colleges and Health Authorities. RCR will recognise points awarded by RANZCR.
WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR? We have Radiologists, Rheumatologists and Sports Medicine Physicians attending but the workshop will be suitable for any Medical Doctor who has an interest in or deals with MSK injuries. The level of the workshop is for Doctors with limited to intermediate experience in MSK MRI who wish to improve their reporting of MSK cases. The workshop would not be suitable for you if you have significant experience in reporting MSK MRI or have done a MSK Fellowship.
TRAINEES: We encourage trainees to attend and if you are a trainee and would like to attend we have a discounted registration of SGD$845. Please email ( info@radedasia.com) us a letter from your Head of Department or CTMRISP verifying your trainee status and message us with your name and MANILAKS19 to let us know that you wish to attend. Please keep in mind that after the workshop you should have access to reporting MSK MRI scans in your department as this is the only way you will retain and increase your knowledge. If you will not be reporting MSK MRI after the workshop we would recommend you do not attend as you will not get the full benefit of the workshop.
