Bridges Champions represent Schenectady Bridges Partners & affiliate organizations/businesses at monthly meetings and through daily integration and collaboration.
The Schenectady Bridges Out of Poverty Champions meetings create opportunities for employers, community and government organizations, social service agencies, businesses and individuals to come together as powerful tools for change. This collaborative works together to support those who are moving from poverty to sustainability.
During our monthly meetings we will continue our Bridges work to:

Share best practices and new initiatives

Share resources, plans and strategies

Explore poverty, its causes, hidden rules and impact

Examine communication patterns

Identify resources and strengths
-
Develop action plans to improve services

Bring people from all sectors together to view poverty through a new lens

Build skill sets for management to help guide employees and increase retention

Improve treatment outcomes

Provide insights into the challenges and strengths of those who live in poverty

Introduce strategies for changing program designs, policies and procedures to improve outcomes
Members of the Champions group are responsible for:
The integration of Bridges Out of Poverty constructs into organizational policies, practices and procedures through internal training & continuous improvement.
Attending monthly Schenectady Bridges Champions Meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
Attend relevant trainings, planning sessions and events as scheduled.
Complete Schenectady Bridges Champion assignments & projects.
NOTE: The location for these monthly meetings will rotate through our Bridges Champions locations. Location updates for future meetings will be emailed in the weeks prior to the meeting.
