If you want to read a good math book, this is the class for you. You will have a choice of three books. Groups will also have a choice in how they would like to divide up the reading. Books will be provided. Choose from: Math-ish: Finding Creativity, Diversity and Meaning in Mathematics by Jo Boaler, Universal Design for Learning in Mathematics Instruction k-5 by Katie Novak and Ashley Marlow, or Mathematics Tasks for the Thinking Classroom k-5 by Peter Liljedahl and Maegan Giroux (this book can extend to middle school math as well).
