Wednesday, April 7, 7:00 AM, (0700 hours), Pacific & Arizona.
There are a large number of deputies and support staff to train in a combined "super class." Participating agencies that were invited include, but are not limited to the sheriff's of the counties of Los Angeles Orange and Kern in CA, the Counties of Pinal, Santa Cruz, Maricopa, Gila, Yavapai, Cochise & Yuma along with the Yuma PD in AZ and others in both states. Additional dates will be listed on this website to ensure that each session accommodates as many as possible with this unique, exclusive collaborative program.
Should you NOT be in law enforcement, yet have received an invitation to participate, you are on the POST list of training administrators and may register your staff herein.
We expect that approximately 15 classes will be set up soon to accommodate the maximum number of participants. Thus, there will be a variety of starting times for the 4-hour class such as: 0700, 0800, 1200,1300, AND EVEN 0200 (2:00AM!) to make it easier for those after the midnight hour to benefit from this exclusive class.
AZ-sworn personnel may request a course completion certificate for POST credit.
PLEASE NOTE that AZ POST requires that you have a working camera while taking the class on your computer, iPad or tablet in order to receive credit. We discourage the use of smartphones due to the small screens on such devices. Participant material will be sent via email once you are registered. It is requested that you purchase an inexpensive pair of earplugs for our "dive into the pool of silence."
American Sign Language (ASL) is not taught. However, the ASL alphabet and some useful words and phrases will be.
