Join Soleil Psychotherapy, Dr. Yulinda Renee Rahman, and Mistress Autumn from 4pm-9pm for a summer mixer & free 2-hour CEU. The presentation portion between 5:00pm-6:30pm will include a workshop on therapeutic BDSM and an experiential portion with Mistress Autumn.

The mixer portion of the event will be before and after the presentation where people connect and socialize. You are welcome to join the event at any time; however, you must be present from 5pm-6:30pm in order to receive CEUs.

Course Description of Dr Yuroc training:

Therapeutic BDSM invites clinicians and the public at large to think outside of the box when it comes to healing modalities, techniques, and interventions. This workshop is designed to introduce therapeutic BDSM as an intentional intervention for those who have experienced body-based trauma, specifically sexual trauma. Participants will be educated on the research that speaks to the healing properties of BDSM and how it can potentially be utilized as an alternative form of somatic experiencing. 

 

Course Objectives:

  • Learn about what Therapeutic BDSM is and the research that backs it.
  • Learn about different power exchanges and how they can be used to help rescript relationships with trauma.
  • Understand the Self-Reconciliation Modality and the role "Therapeutic BDSM" plays within it.
  • Understand the triangulation model and its implementation. 
  • Learn about an alternative healing method for a specific demographic

Femme Dom Mistress Autumn -  Sensation Play:

This portion of the presentation will be experiential and will discuss what Sensory Play is, how to set a scene, what types of equipment are used during a scene, and how to mix a variety of styles.

Presenter Biographies:

Dr. Yulinda Renee Rahman PhD, LCPC, CST

Dr. Yulinda Renee Rahman (Rock-man) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Board Certified Sex Therapist, and Trauma Specialist with a doctorate in Clinical Sexology. She is also an author, thought leader, speaker, researcher, and educator on the impact of sexual trauma specifically on the Black community. She conducted her seminal research on the potentiality of using what she coined as "Therapeutic BDSM" as a form of somatic-based healing for people with a history of body-based trauma.

Femme Dom Mistress Autumn

As a lifestyle Domme with over 20 years of experience, Femme Dom Mistress Autumn has grown to feel that labels do not define who we are, but that they are simply a way to express who we are to other individuals. 

She has been an instructor with the Chicago Rose for just over a year now as has conducted many classes and group discussions on special topics including consent, navigating breakups in D/s dynamics, and most recently she is leading a series of functional classes on do's and don'ts of several types of play.
