Sort, organize, pack and distribute boxes of food to families in need.
Harper Elementary School, 520 Fletcher Street, Thomasville, GA, 31792, United States.
It's Martin Luther King Jr. Service Day. Make it a day on, not a day off. Come together to help fight hunger with Second Harvest by sorting, boxing and distributing food to families in need. Recommended for ages 12 and up. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer. This is a no-frills service opportunity. Please bring anything you will need to be comfortable, wear appropriate attire and closed-toe shoes. If you have an HOTC tshirt (any year, any program), this would be a great time to wear it! 2016/17 HOTC Tshirts available on a first-come, first-served basis for volunteers who did not receive one at a previous volunteer event day (while supplies last). Groups larger than 10 interested in volunteering should call the HOTC office at 226-5200.
