Classes are held Monday Evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. This class meets for 8 weeks.
An equipment use fee of $15 will be collected on the first night of class, please bring exact change. You can also pay this fee during registration. If so, please bring your receipt.

Learn to carve rough stones into beautiful gems called cabochons. This class is fun, easy and relaxing! OGMS instructors will show you how to use our state of the art equipment to create beautiful gemstones that are worthy of setting in jewelry! Most students are able to complete several projects in the course of this eight week class.Adults only, 18 and older please.
Workshop attendees interested in doing dimensional work or carving are encouraged to bring their own rotary equipment and burs, safety equipment and rough stone or slabs.
For persons wishing to purchase opal rough, parcels will be available for purchase from the instructor for $15 per parcel. Please have exact change. Please wear clothing that can get wet and dirty. Tie back long hair. Wear closed-toe, comfortable and supportive foorwear. NO FLIP FLOPS or sandals. Please do not wear jewelry or clothing that could be caught in machinery.No walk-ins will be admitted to class.
Cancellation policy Cancellation of your registration before the end of the registration period, will incur a $15.00 fee. Cancellation after the close of registration incurs a 100% fee. No credit will be given for missed classes or late starting dates. Instructors are not able to change this policy.
