AUM's Faculty Orientation experience is designed with two primary goals in mind:
- To ensure faculty feel genuinely welcomed to our community.
- To provide faculty with essential knowledge, skills, and information they'll need to get started in their AUM experience.
To achieve this, AUM's Orientation consists of three required components:
1. Canvas Training - All instructors must be AUM Canvas trained (FDI-Canvas), before they can access their courses in Canvas. We offer a wide range of face-to-face and online training options. For more info and to register for training, click here
2. Online Orientation Course - Hosted online, this orientation course provides an introduction to the many offices, services, and information that are valuable and essential to AUM instructors. While this course is self-paced, instructors should try to complete this course prior to the Campus Welcome event.
3. Campus Welcome event - This campus-based meeting features a welcome lunch and information session. (January 22nd, 12pm - 1pm - Provost's conference room).
$300 Stipend
Upon completion of the first two components, full-time faculty will be eligible to receive a $300 stipend (applied to their AUM paycheck after their contract begins).
