Ethically Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Insurance

Filed for 3 Ethics CEs in NJ and qualifies for 3 CPCU CEs

Presenter Rita Williams-Bogar, MBA, CPCU, ChFC

President & CEO, Personal Development Solutions, LLC

Executive Director, New Jersey CPCU Society Chapter

In the evolving insurance industry, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies have been pivotal in transforming operations, underwriting, claim processing, customer service, and fraud detection. However, these technologies, while beneficial, also harbor potential for misuse, either through intentional malfeasance or unintended consequences of their application.  This session will define these technologies, explore how and why they are used in the insurance industry, discuss cautionary measures, regulatory considerations and provide ethical guidance for actions to be taken to protect the public interest.
