This event is hosted by the Essex County Unit.
New to a Unit event? NASW-NJ has 12 volunteer-led, county-based Units that hold regional events around the state of New Jersey for members in that area. (However due to the public health emergency, Unit events will be held virtually until further notice!) These events are planned and coordinated by an appointed volunteer Chair and Co-Chair, as well as a Regional Representative from NASW-NJ’s Board of Directors. The Essex County Unit Chairs are Felicia Fdyfil, LCSW (hopetsllc@gmail.com), and Ravjit (Ruby) Sekhon, LCSW (rsekhonlcsw@gmail.com), and the Northeastern Regional Representative is Sierra Spriggs, LSW (sms2384@columbia.edu).
Unit events are a fun, informative way to grow your network near your home or workplace. These events are one of the many benefits of NASW-NJ membership, but we do invite all mental health professional to join us at this meeting. Learn more about our Units here.
New Jersey Career Network (NJCN)
Date: Tuesday, December 15th from 6:00-7:00pm
Zoom login information will be emailed to you once you register.
The New Jersey State Office of Innovation works collaboratively with government, academic, non-profit, and private sector institutions to drive innovation in the Garden State's economy and improve the design and delivery of policies and services to the state's residents, businesses, and institutions.
The Office of Innovation will present a demonstration of the New Jersey Career Network (NJCN), one of its key projects. The New Jersey Career Network is a free tool to help job seekers find meaningful work by offering job search skills training, job application tracking, and research-backed techniques to take their job search to the next level. Job seekers can learn how to effectively find job opportunities that match their needs and interests and get the tools that will help them stand out in today’s crowded job market. The New Jersey Career Network is designed to help job seekers, students, and career changers organize, advance, and take control of their job search journey.
The presentation will walk through the New Jersey Career Network resource and take approximately 20-25 minutes. The remaining time in the meeting will be used for virtual networking.
