Audiences:

·       Community teams comprised of leaders from P12, postsecondary and adult education, economic development, workforce development, banking and human services committed to closing the digital divide in support of educational and economic opportunity.

·       Banking and philanthropic leaders wishing to explore the implications of a recent shift in federal policy that encourages use of Community Reinvestment Act, philanthropic and other funds in support of digital equity.

·       Educational and workforce development leaders seeking to strengthen collaboration in order to improve preparation for and participation in living wage careers for low-income learners of all ages.

Outcomes:

Participants will:

·       Learn why investments in digital equity must be systemic, extending beyond affordable access to broadband and computers, in order to yield such meaningful impacts as improved educational achievement, financial literacy, participation in living wage careers, and access to banking services for the underbanked and unbanked.

·       Learn about the essential dimensions of systemic digital equity and network with leading national providers of resources in each dimension.

·       Learn about the collective impact planning process for mobilizing local stakeholders to successfully undertake systemic. (Note: following the summit, a sequence of nonprofit online professional development courses will be offered to provide ongoing support through all five phases of the collective impact planning process. The summit is not intended to be simply a one-time awareness-raising event.)
