Our panel of experts will discuss a mental model of poverty, poverty research, examine a theory of change, and analyze poverty through the prism of the hidden rules of class, resources, family structure, and language. The seminar puts into words what many veteran professionals and community members have experienced. The focus of this lecture is to provide a broad overview of concepts related to the impact of generational and situational poverty in our communities. Participants will be introduced to specific strategies for improving outcomes for people living in poverty, employees facing issues related to poverty, and communities impacted by poverty.
