Sunday, Feb 19, 2023 at 12:00 PM to Friday, Feb 24, 2023 at 10:30 PM AEDT

Wesley Conference Centre, 220 Pitt St, Sydney, NSW, 2000, Australia.

The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir (SGLC) is absolutely thrilled to be hosting the 2023 Out & Loud & Proud (OLP) choral festival in the beautiful city of Sydney from 19-23 February, 2023.

And even more thrillingly, Out & Loud & Proud will be held as part of Sydney WorldPride, which is coming alive in the Southern Hemisphere for the first time ever! SGLC could not be prouder to be part of this history.

Out & Loud has been celebrating LGBTIQA+ pride through song since 2001. Every three years choirs from all around Australia and our Indo-Pacific neighbours come together to share the joy of singing through workshops, performances and a massed choral event finale. Now, to celebrate Sydney WorldPride in 2023, we’re inviting choirs and singers from all over the world to join us

By being part of WorldPride in 2023, Out & Loud & Proud will be a unique opportunity for us to showcase our talents and passion for singing to a truly global audience – and we invite you to join us along the journey.

There are three ways to be part of the fun:

1. Register as a Singer or Non-Singing particpant

2. Volunteer to help out during the festival and/or offer a room to accommodate any visting participants

3. Make a tax deductible donation to support the Out & Loud & Proud Choral Festival

We can't wait to see you in Sydney!

Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir

https://www.outloudproud.org/

Founded in 1991, Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir (SGLC) has been the soundtrack to Sydney’s LGBTQIA+ community for more than 30 years. SGLC is a non-auditioned choir that welcomes all people to sing with us, regardless of their sexual and gender identity or musical experience. United by a love of singing together and striving for performance excellence, we’re a powerful symbol of diversity, inclusion and harmony that has maintained a vital and visible presence in the history of Sydney’s LGBTQIA+ community. Over our 31 years we’ve provided the soundtrack to countless community events and celebrations, and have regularly represented Sydney on both the national and international stages. Led by Music Director, Adam Majsay, our diverse repertoire ranges from classical to pop, and from music theatre to contemporary Australian compositions. With around 60 active singing members at any one time, we typically present two major concerts each year, as well as performances at a wide range of community events, interstate and international festivals, collaborations with other artists, recordings and fun social events
