We are back!! We had a fantastic time in Rhode Island last year and we can't wait to make the trip up North again!
We are planning a whole weekend of surfski fun and we hope that you will join us! So, block off August 6th/7th in your diaries and don't miss out!
The schedule for the weekend is going to be as follows:
Saturday August 6th AM: We are going to be taking part in "The Battle of the Bay" race in Jamestown. It is a fun, social event and a fantastic opportunity to get paddling around some beautiful scenery. The race start is at 10am and registration for the race is at www.paddleguru.com
Please contact race organiser Tim Dwyer for more information regarding the race: timothydwyer5@gmail.com
Saturday August 6th PM: PaddleLife Workshop for beginner/intermediate paddlers.
Time: 2pm-5pm
After the race, we will be hosting a 3 hour workshop. This will be suitable for beginner to intermediate paddlers and will be held in flat water (in Jamestown).
Sunday August 7th AM: Full-day PaddleLife Workshop for intermediate to advanced paddlers.
Time: 9pm-4pm
We are hosting a fullday workshop. The focus of the workshop is paddling in the open water and downwind skills, as well as training tips and race prep. This will consist of a three hour session in the morning, followed by an hour lunch break. We will have another three hour session in the afternoon. This will be suitable for intermediate to advanced paddlers. Some of the day will be spent on flat water and some on rougher/open ocean. We will try and get into the downwind in the afternoon. The exact venue will be confirmed closer to the time once we have sussed out the wind!
All workshops are conducted by the international surfski champion, Sean Rice. Sean is an extremely experienced surfski coach and conducts his workshops in a friendly and relaxed manner. Each paddler will come away with a whole new field of surfski knowledge and will experience an unforgettable day on the water with one of the best in the sport.
PaddleLife prides itself on offering a high quality learning experience. All workshops are limited to a small group of 12 participants to ensure everyone gets one-on-one experience. Each workshop is adjusted accordingly to suit the level and speed of the group.
We will have a social "Meet & Greet/drinks/dinner" social event on the Saturday evening - everyone is welcome to this. We will probably grab some take-out food/ BYOB. We will plan this closer to the time and let you all know.
