Event location is The Old Paulding County Jail, 112 South Williams Street, Paulding, Ohio, 45879.
This is a small intimate event. Reservations are EXTREAMLY limited and are on a first come first serve basis.
While there are several resident spirits that reside at The Old Paulding Jail, there is one, who makes his presence known every July 30th. The Spirit of Gary Murray.
Gary was found hanged in the first floor cell block July 30th, 1998 at approximately 7:20am. We have confirmed his death as well as obtained documentation. Through our research, we also found that the date of his death, was also the date of his birth. Gary has made his presence known each year since the date I purchased the Jail. We believe we have nailed down the actual time of his death. It seems as though Gary tries every year to get our attention and tell us a little bit more about what transpired on that tragic day. Some of the resident spirits have offered tidbits of information as well.
This year marks the 22th Anniversary of his Death / Birth date.
2 of Gary's children are planning on attending this event. Thanks to the Portals to Hell t.v. show airing featuring the Jail, the children contacted me. At last years party, Gary requested that I find his children, and up until the show airing I had been unsuccessful at finding them. We are excited to have connected with his children!
We want to celebrate his birth and continue our communication and research into this tragic day with him, by not just dwelling on the sad event that took place, but by also having a small party for him and celebrating his Birthday.

There will be drinks and light snacks throughout the night.
There are working bathrooms, and electric at the Jail.
187 P.I. has taken all the required health and safety precautions recommended by the state of Ohio with regards to the Covid-19 pandemic.
For our public hunts, at the present time, tickets are very limited. This also enables us to follow the social distancing guidelines.
We have a hand sanitizing station in place that we encourage everyone to frequent as well as thermometers in the event someone starts to feel ill during the event.
Every guest will be provided a personal sized bottle of hand sanitizer at no charge.
Masks will be required by all guests and team members while inside the Jail. If you do not have a mask, a reusable mask will be provided to you at no charge that you can take home with you. There are no exceptions to this rule. If you do not or can not wear a face mask, please do not make a reservation.
All of our reusable face masks have been constructed of new materials and are brand new (never previously worn) and have been sanitized per the CDC recommendations along with heat sanitizing before being placed in a sealed plastic bag.
Tickets for this event are sold on a first-come first serve basis. All reservations must be made in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door. All sales are final, no refunds under any circumstances. You will be required to sign a waiver of liability when you arrive.
This event is not for someone who can not climb stairs. There are no elevators in the Jail and even access to the first floor cell block has a few steps.
No one under the age of 13 is permitted. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
While the jail is very haunted, we have no control over the resident spirits or any spirits that visit the jail. That being said, we cannot guarantee you will experience any paranormal activity, however we will have all conditions in place for your best possible experience and best possible chance of capturing some paranormal activity.
