Paranormal Investigation - Sheriff Keeler Birthday Celebration

Event location is The Old Paulding County Jail, 112 South Williams Street, Paulding, Ohio, 45879

This is a small intimate event. This is a first time for this event, and we believe this will be amazing!

This is 4 of 4 of our Birthday Celebration Events this year! Not only do we want to honor our resident spirit's birthday, but this will also serve as a paranormal experiment, to see if activity is higher and if our ghosts like a birthday party! During this birthday celebration and ghost hunt we plan to unveil our hologram experiment device and project an image of Sheriff Keeler to see if it sparks  additional paranormal activity, much like a trigger object.

Not only that, this night is also a full moon night, excellent conditions for this event!

Reservations are EXTREAMLY limited and are on a first come first serve basis.

While there are several resident spirits that reside at The Old Paulding Jail, there is one, who communicates with us and other visitors to the jail all the time and he is Sheriff John Keeler.

Sheriff John Keeler was born October 14, 1923. He was a resident of Paulding County and he holds the position of the longest reigning Sheriff, even to this day. Being Sheriff of Paulding County was his passion and his entire career. He has seen  several big cases in Paulding County. One high profile case that he oversaw was the 1960 murder case of Nancy Eagleson. He along with his wife, lived in the jail and raise their family there.

Sheriff Keeler communicates with us very often. He is very friendly and has offered us bits of advice. He mostly communicates with us on the third floor. He has been heard on other floors of the building as well. His spirit has a good amount of energy as many times he speaks to us as a disembodied voice, and you can hear him without any equipment. Many times you can hear him walking through the third floor, up and down the staircase and through the hallways on the first floor. Others who have been in the building have claimed to have saw his apparition. Through our research, we have found that he looks over and protects the ghost of a little girl name Audrey who stays mostly in the third floor as well.

We have a few theories as to why Sheriff John Keeler is still at the jail. Could it be that his love and passion for the town and the citizens has kept him from crossing over? Could it be that he wants to make sure that the law is upheld? Could it be that he loved his job so much that he continues to do his job in the afterlife? Could it be that he stays because he is protecting little Audrey? We are not exactly sure as of yet why he remains at the jail. These are some of the questions that we hope to find out through continued research.

This year marks Sheriff John Keeler's 96th birthday if he were alive today.

We spend a lot of time at The Old Paulding Jail, and quite honestly, we are on very good terms with the Spirits and they are much like family.

This year we want to do something special for Sheriff Keeler. We want to celebrate his birthday and continue our communicationwith him as he is an intricate part of the old Paulding County jail and he is the resident spirit who still seems to be in charge.

Come Join us for this very amazing and special event. I am sure our resident Spirits will most likely be attending too!

Your Ticket includes:
7:00 pm - Doors open - Meet & Greet the 187 P.I. Team, BBQ Dinner
8:30 pm - Birthday cake for Everyone and celebration ceremony for Sheriff Keeler
9:15 pm to 2:00 am - Tour of the Jail and Paranormal Investigation with Sheriff Keeler and friends

There will be drinks and light snacks throughout the night.

Your ticket also allows you to sleep over in Ohio's most haunted Jail! If you choose to sleep over, you will need to bring your own sleeping bag or air mattress, blankets and pillow, much like indoor camping. There are working bathrooms, and electric at the Jail. Departure from the Jail is 11:00 am. if you are sleeping over, or 2:00 am if you are not sleeping over.

This event is not for someone who can not climb stairs. There are no elevators in the Jail and even access to the first floor cell block has a few steps.

 Come join us during this once a year, very special event!

Some of the many, many things that goes on at the Jail include: Lights being turned on / off, footsteps, male and female disembodied voices, people have been touched, opening and closing of doors / cabinets, whistling, jingling of keys, old time music and so much more!
THAT IS JUST A SMALL SAMPLE OF WHAT HAS GONE ON HERE.

No one under the age of 13 is permitted. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

While the jail is very haunted, we have no control over the resident spirits or any spirits that visit the jail. That being said, we cannot guarantee you will experience any paranormal activity, however we will have all conditions in place for your best possible experience and best possible chance of capturing some paranormal activity.
