Recent research has alerted us to the sizeable number of parents who are struggling to parent after a brain injury. The injury may be a result of domestic violence, combat, a fall, etc. resulting in physical, emotional and cognitive challenges. These challenges may surface in the parent’s ability to schedule and organize their children’s lives; remember appointments and routines; the ability to budget their income and/or the ability to continue to work or work in the same job prior to the injury.
This training will address what have we learned about the brain and screening for adult brain injury and the resources available to help these families.
An application has been submitteed to allow participants to receive CEU credit for attending this training.
