Chris Therien, affectionately known as Bundy, is a former professional hockey player and Olympic Silver Medalist.

He played 12 NHL seasons for the Philadelphia Flyers and is the longest-tenured defenseman in franchise history, playing in 753 games. Chris later spent seven years as a Radio Broadcaster for the Flyers and eight years as a popular Broadcaster/Lead Analyst for NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Chris is also an author, motivational speaker, and mental health advocate. His work plays an integral role in raising awareness, ending stigma, and normalizing substance use disorder and mental health treatment. Chris has become one of Pennsylvania's most influential voices in the field of substance use disorder, treatment, and recovery.

Chris is also the co-founder of The Therien Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial support and sober living arrangements to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health.

Bryan’s personal journey has been shaped by his service in the United States Marine Corps, aswell as his experiences as a firefighter and then a police officer/ detective. He transitioned fromthose front-line roles in 2019 and became the director of an addiction treatment program for veterans and first responders. This position resonated deeply with his own recovery journey, which began in September 2010. His path to recovery included the benefit of treatment, which ignited his passion for helping others facing similar struggles. With an understanding of the unique challenges faced by veterans and first responders, especially regarding the cumulative effects of trauma, he has committed his career to providing support and guidance. Bryan graduated from Alvernia University with a degree in Addictions and Mental Health, where he was honored with the George Vogel Award for excellence in academia. He completed an associate counselor’s program where he honed the ability to blend passion with competence and an understanding of the need to be culturally competent in working with clients. Bryan is currently working towards completing a master's degree at Gwynedd Mercy University. He is a member of the PA Counseling Association, the American Counseling Association, and the Bucks County NAACP. Today, Bryan is proud to serve on the St. Joseph’s University Phoenix Training Team. He is also the director of the Heroes Program at Pennsylvania Recovery Center, where there is commitment to aiding those who have served our community and country overcome addiction and mental health challenges. His role is to foster a space where healing and growth are paramount, driven by empathy and an understanding of the journey to recovery.
