Three lessons:
July 9, 1-3 P.M.
July 23, 1-3P.M.
August 6, 1-3P.M.
 
Lesson 1:
The first lesson is to get each person properly acquainted with their digital cameras. We will discuss Aperture and Speed, how to set focus, and adjust for lighting. Whether flash is needed and answer any other questions about your cameras and setting up for the most successful pictures. Will go over some of the main rules of being a photographer so that everyone has the ability to take quality photos.
 
Lesson 2:
In this lesson we will go over any questions from the lesson before. We will then go out together weather permitting and take photos of things we find in nature or what is called candid photography. We will then return and you will be taught how to develop digital photographs. I will show each person how to adjust for light and exposure of necessary, how to adjust contrast and color quality, how to glamourize or posturize your photos. I will show you examples of different types of photos.
 
Final lesson:
At the end of class each person will have an assignment, in the two weeks between Lesson 2 and final lesson take photos individually, and bring them to final class. We will pick out a handful of photos that seem the best, Develop the best one and save it. I will send each person’s best picture to my photo lab to get printed as an 8x10 photograph. The Ely Library will display our class’s work for a bit, and then you will be able to pick up and keep. You can have it mounted and framed and decorate your home or office with it. I will also still be available for questions at any time.
 
Registration is through the Ely public library. Deadline will be Wednesday July 6, 2016.
