PRS is hosting a private, multi-night investigation of West Virginia State Penitentiary (WVP) this Spring! WVP is considered one of the most haunted and active locations on the east coast. Featured on an episode of "Paranormal State," as well as countless other paranormal shows, PRS is excited to return. This time, we'll be investigating WVP on multiple nights. This will allow us the chance to get used to the location and adjust investigation techniques.
On Thursday, we'll meet at the hotel HQ for a social and dinner, followed by a haunted road trip to check out another local haunt in the area.. On Friday, we'll tour the mounds and go over a game plan for our investigation. Friday night from 11pm - 6am, we'll do set-up and investigating parts of the prison. We'll set up "stations" to conduct EVP, Gansfeld, spirit communication and more. On Saturday, we'll regroup and plan for the second part, and resume at 10pm until dawn.
We believe investigating a location for more than one night increases the chances for capturing something otherworldly. We start the investigation as a group and attempt to communicate with the spirits before breaking off into stations.
If someone needs a nap break, we will set and decide on stations for people to relax and get some shut eye. We recommend bringing a sleeping bag and pillow.
Note: This event is investigation-centered. There will be social times, but for the most part, we aim to research the location and conduct various investigation techniques at the prison.
Lodging: You are responsible for your own lodging. We will all be staying at the Holiday Inn in Moundsville, WV. It is relatively close to the hotel. You will get an e-mail about our room block at the end of January so you can get a discounted rate.
Event Ends: The event will conclude at the end of Investigation Night Two. Most people will go back to the hotel to get some sleep, but we'll formally say our goodbye's as we leave WVP. Of course, we will continue to share our evidence on the website and in Discord.
