How can we think psychoanalytically about the altered states of mind induced by psychedelic medicines? And what place could psychedelics have in psychoanalytically-informed treatments? In this seminar, we will explore the intersection of these two methods of learning about the deep layers of the psyche. A clinical vignette will be presented in which the psychedelic agent ketamine was used to facilitate a psychoanalysis.
