There is only 3 VIP overnight Jail Experience Packages offered. This is sold as a package and the price is for up to 2 people included. You do not need 2 people, but the price remains the same whether there is 1 or 2 people in your party. This ticket includes early entry, guided ghost hunt until 12am then all night ghost hunting on your own. Your accommodations include 2 cots with linens in a cell located on the second floor. Do you dare to spend the night all alone in your own cell in the 1st floor felon block? If you want the ultimate experience, this is the ticket for you! This is a ticket for one person. One person per cell. The ticket includes early entry, guided ghost hunt until 12am, then all night ghost hunting on your own. You will need to bring a sleeping bag or your own cot. We are sorry, no air mattresses allowed due to space and lack of electric outlets within the cells. OH, and bring a flashlight, the cells are kind of dark. After all it is a jail built in the late 1800s. There is only 6 tickets available as there is only 6 cells. Must depart by 10am. Doors open for this ticket at 7:30pm. No early entry permitted. Join 187 P.I.™ for a All Hallows Eve weekend, public Ghost Hunt at Ohio's most haunted jail, the old Paulding County Jail, located at 112 S. Williams St., Paulding, OH 45879.
Halloween weekend likely will be the ONLY PUBLIC Ghost hunts of this type offered at the Jail for all of 2025!!
It is said the veil between the spirit world and our world is at the thinest on Halloween. We invite you to join us as we put this to the test! We have had some amazing evidence captured on Halloween weekend for the past several years!
The Old Paulding Jail was featured as the two hour season premier of The Travel Channel's paranormal show, "Portals to Hell", starring Jack Osbourne and Katrina Weidman.
Join us and the resident spirits of the Old Paulding County jail for a fantastic evening of ghost hunting. Do not miss the opportunity to possibly catch some amazing evidence!
We have included a Seance session option in the basement this year led by psychic medium Christopher Jansen! Tickets are very limited for the Seance!
187 P.I.  paranormal investigations and research team will lead you on this night of ghost hunting. Feel free to bring any ghost hunting equipment you may have with you so that you may possibly take home some evidence. We are sorry however, we will not be allowing any CCTV camera setups. This is for safety reasons.
Through our continuous research at the Old Paulding County Jail, we have become quite friendly with the resident spirits. Several of which interact and or communicate with us every time we are in the jail. We invite you to experience some of this paranormal activity for yourselves.
Tickets for this event are extremely limited!
Event itinerary:
7:30 PM - doors open for VIP ticket holders (no early entry)
8:00 PM – doors open for general admission (no early entry)
8:30 PM – brief history presentation of the jail
9:00 PM to 12am – guided ghost hunting in all the hotspots of the old Paulding County jail including the dungeon tunnels in the basement with members of the 187 P.I. research team.
12:30 AM to 2:00 AM - Seance in The Basement Led by psychic medium Christopher Jansen.
There will be bottled water and light snacks provided.
Some of the evidence that we have captured at the old Paulding Jail include, disembodied voices of male and female entities, phantom footsteps, doors slamming, cabinets slamming shut, lights turning on and off, equipment being turned on and off, photographs, shadow ghosts, the sound of jingling keys, music and so much more.
Tickets are very limited for our public hunts.
Please be advised, you will be required to sign a waiver when you arrive.  No sage, holy water, drugs or alcohol allowed on the jail property.
Tickets for this event are sold on a first-come first serve basis. All reservations must be made in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door. All sales are final, no refunds under any circumstances.
This event is not for someone who can not climb stairs. There are no elevators in the Jail and even access to the first floor cell block has a few steps.
There is working bathrooms, electricity, heat in the winter and central air in the summer.
No one under the age of 13 is permitted. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

While the jail is very haunted, we have no control over the resident spirits or any spirits that visit the jail. That being said, we cannot guarantee you will experience any paranormal activity, however we will have all conditions in place for your best possible experience and best possible chance of capturing some paranormal activity.
