Welcome to our Chanel Centre Staff Retreat Day. This year our retreat day coincides with the Hamilton Diocese hosting international guest speaker, Cy Kellett from Catholic Answers. Therefore we have decided to open up our staff retreat day to the wider diocesan staff and utilise Cy while he is here.
Parish secretaries, pastoral workers, handymen, chaplains, priests, deacons, sisters and all school staff - you are all welcome to attend.
A full schedule will be uploaded in the coming weeks, for now, however, you can plan on Mass beginning at 9.30 am, with Cy talking for around 2 hours after lunch.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided, there will also be time for reflection, both group and individual.
Cy will be using his talk 'Christ and Joan'
Joan of Arc is one of the most remarkable people in history. But her story is also one of the strangest in Catholic history. Her strangeness is not a defect, but a special gift from God. Through Joan, Christ teaches us about his particular love for manhood and womanhood. We’ll look at five ways Joan’s life shows Christ’s special love for us as men and women.
