We are excited to announce "The Round Table Tastings" a new monthly series of wine tastings at our Rock Hill location!
The Round Table Tastings!
These small group tastings will follow a round table discussion format, and be centered around low production and collectible wines. The goal of these tastings will be to examine and evaluate wines from equal but different perspectives, while drawing on knowledge from winemakers & industry experts. Attendees can expect an evening of lighthearted conversation and discussion, centered around a fantastic selection of thought provoking wines. Planned topics include everything from single wineries, to single varietals, and even specific vintages, and are open to all levels of wine drinker. Tastings are expected to last about 1 hour and thirty minutes.

Tasting introduction:
When we hear the word Cabernet, our brains immediately fire back, California! At least mine does. But should that be the case? Cabernet is French in origin, grown at a higher percentage in Chile, planted far and wide (now even in China), and often considered to be a better "value" in numerous other regions. So why the connection? We have all heard the saying "Cab is king" but will California be king? In this tasting we attempt to find out!

We will taste the following Wines:

  • Napa Valley - 2014 Robert Mondavi "To Kalon" Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Sonoma - 2014 Stonestreet Cabernet Sauvignon "Rockfall"
  • Washington - 2015 Sheridan "Block 1" Cabernet
  • Spain - 2011 Torres "Mas La Plana" Cabernet
  • Italy - 2013 Isole e Olena Collezione Privata Cabernet
  • Australia - 2016 Penfolds Bin 407
  • France - 2009 Chateau Cos d'Estournel "Pagodes de Cos"
  • Argentina - 2013 Catena Zapata Nicolas
  • Chile - TBD
  • South Africa - TBD

*All wines above will be available for purchase, light snacks provided
