Who:  For any secondary science teacher (specific focus is on environmental topics and natural resources)

What:  Project Learning Tree - PLT helps develop students' awareness, knowledge and appreciation of the environment, builds their skills and ability to make informed decisions, and encourages them to take personal responsibility for sustaining the environment.  From its beginnings in 1976, PLT has exemplified high-quality environmental education.

When: Thursday, June 3, 2021    8:30 - 1:30

*We will work through lunch*

Where:  Family Resource Center

Why:  We need engaging activities that help us teach important issues related to our environment.  PLT activities help teach students how to think, not what to think.  

Other important information:

• Bring a lunch - we will take a short lunch break but will work through so that we finish by 1:30.

• Water, coffee, snacks will be provided

• You will leave with a PLT Environmental Education guide full of amazing activities and lessons; plus other goodies

• You will recieve a $100 stipend for completion of the entire workshop

• CEUs will be offered (.5 for $10)...please be prepared to pay online
