Come sell, promote or showcase your original art in the Alley behind Jambalaya Arts Inc.
The Alley Art Market is the 2nd Saturday of each month; June 9th, July 13th, August 10th & August 17th (in conjunction with the Art in the Alley music event), September 14th and October 12th of 2024.
All art sold must be original pieces made (or assembled if re-purposing/recycling objects) by the person tending each space.
No third party or commercial products. Pieces sold MUST have a hand made component. Prints, stickers and photography are fine as long as they are images you personally took or created in some way.
We request when registering that you upload an image of the types of things you will be selling/promoting so we can assign spots for people with similar items to not be right next to eachother. If you have a friend also vending, let us know if you'd like to be situated close to them and we will do our best to accomidate.
As this event is taking place on city property, there will be a standard waiver of liability that includes both Jambalaya and the City of Oshkosh. We will bring these around prior to the start of the market and must be signed by each booth participant.
Artists of all ages, types of art and levels of expertise are encouraged to participate!
IMPORTANT for artists under 18: A parent or legal guardian needs to be present to sign the waiver for artists under 18. Artists 16-17 can tend their booth alone after the waiver is signed. Artists 15 and under need to have a parent or guardian register on-line, sign the waiver and be present for the entire time the minor is showing at the Alley Art Market.
Space and size to vend are limited. Artists need to stay within the size booth, they are registered for. The alley is not that big and we planned as many spots as possible.
The fee for registering is $10.00. Cancellations up until a week prior to the date you are registered for, you will reveive a refund less the Eventzilla fee. ($2.00). If you need to cancel your reservation after registering, email us @ jambalaya.arts.inc@gmail.com and we can cancel your registration.

Space sizes and availability are: (22 total)
4' x 6' "tentable" 10 spaces (large part of the alley)

3' x 6' "non-tentable" 9 spaces (on narrow alleyway)
Set up begins at 6:30 am and runs until 7:50 am to coincide with the Farmers Market opening at 8am. The Alley Art Markets run from 8 am to 2 pm. You are requested to stay until at least 12:30 (when the Farmer's Market closes) but are not required to stay for the entire market.
Spaces will be assigned prior to the market so you will not need to scarmble to arrive right at 6:30 am.
We will send out a map a day or two with the assigned spots and there will be a welcome/registration table during set-up so you can let us know you've arrived and confirm your spot.
Please arrive sometime between 6am-7:30am depending on the time it will take you to set up your space to be ready for the opening of the Alley Art Market (and Farmer's Market) by 8am.
You must provide your own tables and set up items. Keep in mind your space size.
If you register for a 4'x6' space that is "tentable" you can bring up to a 10'x10' canopy or pop-up shelter from the sun/elements. It is not required to have a tent in a 'tentable' spot but the larger part of the alley gets a lot of sun in the morning hours.. Your tent must have at least one 25lb weight (or more) per leg. Cinder blocks with rope tied to the underside of the tent frame works well. The alley can get very windy and your tent is susceptible to being blown down and broken if you do not have it weighted down and a tent being blown about the alley is a hazzard for participants and the general public.
If you are doing cash only sales, be sure to bring change. We will not be able to provide change. Consider taking electronic forms of payment such as Square, Paypal, Venmo, CashApp or Zelle.
Recording and reporting sales and any taxes due are the responsibility of each artist. Showing your art is at your own risk and Jambalaya Arts Inc is not responsible for any injuries, or damages or loss to merchandise or display items before, during or after these events. You will be required to sign a waiver prior to setting up your booth. See the note above on artists 17 and under.
There is a clause in the WI tax code that sellers that bring in less than $2,000 annualy or only do occasional sales are exempt from charging sales tax. It is up to each artist vending to determine if they fall in this category. If you will be charging sales tax, email us prior to the market so we can have you complete a S-240 form.
Space sales go live one month in advance of each Alley Art Market event at 8 am.
YOU MAY ONLY REGISTER FOR ONE BOOTH SPACE AND SIZE.
PEOPLE REGISTERING FOR MORE THAN ONE BOOTH, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION WITHOUT A REFUND.
