9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance is a federally-recognized day of unity and charitable service, annually observed throughout the United States and in other countries around the world on the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks. This year organizations, including federal agencies, are again focusing on a mobile meal packing challenge with thousands of volunteers packing food for millions of people in need.
In the Twin Cities the packing event for federal employees will be on Tuesday, 9/18/18 from 2:30-4:30 PM at Target Field with Feed My Starving Children. Registration is required and the event is free, including a free ride via bus/train. Packing will take place indoors in the Delta 360 Club and is accessible. Registration deadline is Sunday, September 16. More information, and free transit passes, will be provided to registrants via email on September 17. Participating agencies will be invited to take a group photo with the FEB Diversity and Inclusion Council during the event.
Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your packing session to check-in. Your orientation and packing instructions will take place during your scheduled shift time.
