Dr. Ansari is a Professor of Medicine and is the Associate Chief Medical Officer for Clinical Optimization and Revenue Integrity at Loyola University Medical Center. He graduated from Midwestern University and completed his residency training at Loyola University Medical Center. He is a practicing and board-certified hospitalist and palliative care physician. His responsibilities include utilization management (UM), clinical documentation improvement (CDI), care management, inpatient clinical operations, length of stay reduction, overseeing unit medical directors, developing the physician advisor program and incorporating palliative medicine in care delivery for patients with serious illness. He also serves as medical director of the observation unit.
