The SHM Middle Tennessee Chapter is hosting an in-person event on Wednesday, February 21st at 6:00 p.m. CT at Sinema in Nashville, TN. Please join the chapter for networking, dinner, and for an educational presentation titled "The Future of AI in Hospital Medicine," provided by Dr. Michael Matheny.
Dr. Matheny is well versed in informatics and the implications of Artificial Intelligence in the world of hospital medicine. He will discuss some current tools, benefits, pitfalls, and risks of AI. There will be time for Q&A after the presentation. We hope that you are able to join us in person, but if not, please join for the presentation virtually over Zoom at 7:00 p.m. CT. Zoom information will be located in your registration confirmation email.

Dr. Michael Matheny is an internist, physician scientist, and Director for the Center for Improving the Publics’ Health with Informatics and Professor in the Departments of Biomedical Informatics, Medicine, and Biostatistics, VUMC. He is also a part-time primary care physician and Associate Director of Health Science Research & Development and VA Informatics and Computing Infrastructure for the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System VA.
