Please join the chapter to meet and network with other clinicians in your community and for an educational presentation titled "Medical Ethics at the Bedside," provided by Dr. Megha Shah and Hannah Johanson, RN.
Megha Shah, MD, MMM is a physician leader with a deep commitment to bioethics and extensive expertise in hospital medicine. She holds a certification in Healthcare Ethics Consulting and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola University. Dr. Shah is Medical Director of the Inpatient Team at Snoqualmie Valley Health, and a practicing Nephrologist, where she oversees program development in resource-limited settings. She is a member of the Ethics Committee of The Rural Collaborative of Washington. She has previously served as a clinical ethicist at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. Her speaking engagements include Clinical Ethics grand-rounds at CommonSpirit Health and Virginia Mason CME on Healthcare ethics. In her free time, she likes hiking, yoga, dancing and hosting friends and family.
Hannah Johanson, RN CCRN HEC-C is a critical care nurse and clinical ethics consultant for UW Medical Center, Northwest Campus. She's been active in clinical care for over a decade as a registered nurse and has been a clinical ethicist since 2020. She is an active member of her hospital's ethics committee and balances her dual clinical roles in addition to being a current student. She enjoys teaching, precepting staff and students, and has a special interest in end-of-life ethics issues. In her free time, she can be found tending her garden or spending time with her family.
