Tavolo Wine Bar & Tuscan Grille, 2099 Post Rd, Warwick, RI, 02886, United States.

The SHM Rhode Island Chapter will be hosting an in-person meeting on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at Tavolo Wine Bar & Tuscan Grille in Warwick, RI. Join the chapter to network with other hospitalists and receive a featured presentation by Dr. Scott Kaatz, DO, MSc, FACP, SFHM, titled, "Improving Outcomes for Patients Hospitalized with COVID-19: Guideline-Based Guidance Ahead of the Respiratory Virus Season."

Our discussion will include case-based, educational guidance for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants caring for acutely ill patients with COVID-19 including an overview of the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Treatment Guidelines recently updated in 2024. We will provide guidance on how to optimize outcomes for patients at risk for worse outcomes from the COVID-19 virus during the upcoming respiratory season.

This meeting was made possible by the generous sponsorship of Gilead Sciences. All content was independently developed by SHM without industry influence or involvement.
