The SHM South Carolina Lowcountry Chapter will be holding an in-person event on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. ET at Harbour Club at WestEdge in Charleston, SC. Please join the chapter for networking and for the chapter's Scientific Abstract Competition where local residents and students will be showcasing their work in research, innovations and clinical research.
Call for Abstracts
The SHM South Carolina Lowcountry Chapter invites Residents and Medical Students to submit posters for its annual Scientific Abstract Competition. All submissions should include a poster using the instructions provided below.
Submission Categories: 1. Research 2. Innovations 3. Clinical Vignettes
Submission Deadline: November 6, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET
Submission Instructions: Please submit abstracts to Dr. Ben Kalivas at kalivas@musc.edu.
The top-scoring poster will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual conference, Converge, in Las Vegas, NV, April 22-25, 2025. This winner will also receive a $2,000 travel stipend to attend the conference. This winner will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 25, 2024 deadline in order to be accepted.
