The SHM Utah Chapter will be hosting an in person event on Thursday, August 15th at 6:00 p.m. MT at Finca in Salt Lake City, UT. Please join the chapter to network with other clinicians in your local area and for an educational presentation titled "The Changing National Trends in Liver Disease Hospitalization: creating a value-based approach to the diagnosis and management of common medical conundrums," provided by Dr. Richard Gilroy.

Richard Gilroy, MD
Medical Director of Liver Transplant and Hepatology
Intermountain Health System

Dr. Gilroy is the Medical Director of Liver Transplant and Hepatology for the Intermountain Health System. His training began at the University of Queensland where he completed medical school followed by residencies starting in general surgery and subsequently internal medicine and gastroenterology as well as a hepatology fellowship in Australia. This was followed by training at the University of Nebraska in transplantation and then the US fellowship in the same specialties. His former positions include being on faculty at the University of Nebraska and a Professor of Medicine at the University of Kansas.
