Join us for an important seminar on increasing social skills through behavior management strategies for students with Down syndrome.

Attendees will learn how to facilitate positive social behaviors so students with Down syndrome can be successful in the home, classroom or community. Social learning is critical, it needs to occur every day in every context, and it is never to early to start. Participants will walk away with practical solutions and purposeful language for every day situations specific to students with Down syndrome 3-18 years of age.

 Attendees will learn:

  • Benefits of pre-teaching
  • How to create social stories
  • Importance of choices and decision making
  • Planned ignoring techniques that work
  • Helping  your student be responsible for his own behavior
  • Helpful consequences and reward systems
  • How to redirect in times of non-compliance
